My main issue with the game are how directionless the balancing changes feel. It’s apparent that they’re trying to tweak the power levels of character but they make completely baffling decisions. Examples being Vaseraga’s and Ladiva’s changes. Other characters get strong tools unique to them removed with compensation buffs. But the way they go about it is by homogenizing their gameplay, such as with Anre and Cagliostro. Factor in other degenerate buffs such as every character having corner to corner combos and it feels like the game keeps removing the unique identities/weaknesses of its characters while keeping a degenerate power level.
