Someone told me about using Verlet lists for dynamic 2D waves. I had never heard of them before, and they seemed easy enough, but I was hesitant to try. Turns out, they only took me a few hours to implement. Obviously, they're not perfect yet (some waves on the right are stuck for some reason), but they look great already IMO.

wasted several hours trying to use emscripten. it insists on using cached versions of my shaders, models, etc. no matter what combination of vibe code i try. it makes it impossible to modify the shader files. worse still, SDL and GLFW really aren't able to be used together. you will have to settle for a linux or windows release of my game. there will be no webgl version. the guy who asked for a webgl version was a jerk anyway.
