this game is genuinely freakish in how it feels bad to play it. my vault is constantly overflowing, I actively dread faction vendors leveling up because it means more vault management, yet I also feel like due to how absurd the maps, combat and overall gameplay is none of the shit in my vault feels impactful. you can just get ganked by some sweaty trio or a corner camper in solos before you can even react.this basically isn't even an extraction shooter, it's team deathmatch crossed with a battle royale.

I just learned about the hatch at the end of the command wing that gets you back outside in no time and lets you stay looting until the final exfil countdown starts and still make it in time. The first fucking time I decide to use it I drop down into that long passage leading outside with 10 seconds left until the final timer starts and two fucking faggot assassins come around the corner at the end that connects to the drop outside and gun me down. I'd been looting the scraps in command wing for like 3-4 minutes and hadn't heard any footsteps at all in that time so they must have just been sitting there silently the whole fucking time waiting for me to try to leave. You can tell a lot about this game by how streamer types and 1% skill ceiling types play it. Hint hint, none of them are ratting, they just run around slaughtering others effortlessly be it in solo or trio. They never crouch walk. They treat the game like a battle royale.
the decreasing player count has got to be with how sweaty and cutthroat the game isI find it highly enjoyable and want it to succeed, but they really need to figure out a way to increase the chill factor on most runs, feel free to keep places like Outpost as sweaty as you like though as it’s supposed to be that wayits a game where you absolutely need to be ‘switched on’ all the time in match, you must be at the very bare minimum competent at PvP, and there’s very little downtime unless you intentionally crouch at the edge of the map, and interacting with any of the PvE enemies just sends out a massive signal inviting the lobby to come join you for butt sex at your expenseif there’s one word that describes Marathon it’s ‘tiring’, both in a good and a bad waythanks for listening

Lobbies where “everybody dies” are low key going to be the worst aspect of this game. And I’m tired of pretending that it’s not.You’re a rook scavenging dead bodies? Die.Trio of supporter kits? This game doesn't it feel like an extraction shooter. The PvP is so common and so forced by the small maps, small number of POIs, and loud gunshots that this game is more of a battle royale than an extraction shooter.

The beginning of the game was so much fun. Leveling up, doing missions with Trios or Solo in Perimeter; actually being able to exfil 5/10 times. Now I kid you not, of my last 40 (FORTY) runs in Dire Narsh and Outpost, I’ve exfiled only twice. Once because I waited til the map was empty enough to move around so I can finish my contract, and the other because I was being carried heavily by two other high level players in trios who took pity on me and let me scavenge their leftover lockdown loot. Like this shit is demoralizing.I don’t know what to do anymore other than wait for the seasonal wipe. Because of how the exp system works, even though I wiped 40 times, I was STILL gaining experience and leveling up. Now I’m level 31 with the skills and vault load of someone at like level 20 and I’m being put into maps with people who are level 40+. I spent my last run playing as careful as possible so that I can finish this damn contract I’ve been hard stuck on; just for a fully kitted out level 61 player to snipe me halfway across the map at Dire Marsh.And I’m observing the higher level I am, the meaner and more rude people are. Levels 1-20 I found it a lot easier to talk to people whether in trios or solo; now all I’m running into are incredibly rude players who constantly say how shit I am for my level. Yeah, no shit. I don’t even want to be this level. I barely want to play th game anymore. I feel like I’m on autopilot just waiting to be taken out before I get to finish my contract running solo or I feel like a burden playing trios; no one ever wants to help finish my contracts; everyone just wants to get into gunfights or wants me to follow them all around the map with no real objective or plan.No longer having fun whatsoever and it’s getting really frustrating because I really do like the gameplay and world of this game. A scramble effect for Assassin would only reveal to someone an Assassin nearby is invisible. Using your ears isn't a pro move, a radar would just add visual clutter too. This isn't even considering the radar size or ping rate, which could possibly be modified with shell mods if it were a thing. It's pointless to have radar at this stage.

I wonder if having this game be a bit more like Mewgenics in a sense that the playable characters themselves are a resource would be fun. Sponsor kits would be full on sponsor shells (like Rook is right now), and by retrieving items, you could craft new custom shells. You'd keep them if you extracted and lose them if you died.
I think they need to stop giving out free kits, make that shit 3 free kits at max. I'm sick of getting players running Outpost with free kits because it's the easiest way to get gear.

The game is abysmal past a certain point if you dont play premade. Most of the playerbase will reach that point in a couple weeks so you can hold it in the holster until then to discuss it. People rn are just having fun with the "high" of going in with a free kit and walking out with a blue shield and backpack in solos.Abysmal applies to both solos and fills. The game is fundamentally not designed for solos. Some shells are completely non-viable while others are overwhelmingly strong. The pve is non-engageable at higher levels and the bosses or events are close to non-doable if you dont wipe out the lobby first. Any corner you take there can be a guy sitting in a dark corner. Etc etc.Outpost is already a nightmare of ratting in solos, and from what some streamers who playtested cryo archives say that map will make outpost look like perimeter.The only mode besides premade that's even remotely fun after a while is a fully upgraded rook. And even that only as far as what rook is designed to do.

First and foremost they started putting in Tick Meat into everything they produced, you get an example of this from the Liquid Burgers and its codex entries you can collect from Perimeter. When eatting the food with Tick Meat in it either outright kills you or turns you into a pseudo zombie who needs to eat flesh. Ticks were an experiment fusing weird shit they found on Tau Ceti with Ciccadas from Earth and that also help create literal Spider-Man symbiotes (what Sekiguchi gets you to inject yourself with in later priority contracts). So you have two, possible creatures that might come out at night on Dire Marsh, zombies and basically monstrous symbiote entities.You can find claw marks peppered around Quarantine and if you go to certain areas in Quarntine, specifically the areas with giant fungi masses will trigger monstrous growls and vent crawling sound effects.

How many people can use one extract before it goes offline? I have only played solos. Or are extracts available to be used once powered up and active for a set amount of time? Having fun with the game so far but its definitely brutal early on. I don't mind though.
