Its Reeling property applies when an enemy misses, so it often ends up being a +4 AC shield, on top of the already powerful critical hit immunity. Arguably best-in-slot for a Paladin, or until you acquire Walking Fortress late in Act 3. The sussur greatsword is whatever. It has the niche use of essentially doubling your damage against the Apostle of Myrkul as the anon above noted, but I wouldn't bother with it outside of a roleplaying moment. The fixed DC 12 for the silence effect is simply too unreliable, even if you have a way to impose Disadvantage. The Silence spell is almost always going to be better.

It was REALLY good in Act 1 outside of one encounter which realistically would only need a little tweaking to fix, and I was considering just doing it myself, but stuff in the creche really was just straight up garbage, I'll get to that in a moment though.There is also a game breaking bug associated with it that only happens in Act 2 that soft locks the game.So: Additional Enemies adds a bunch of hand picked enemies to various locations in Act 1 and 2. Many of them have some level of customization from custom stats, to custom abilities, and a lot are fairly fun and well themed, filling out empty spaces in the map; for example, the empty cliffs with the abandoned Harper camp is now home to a True Soul Bugbear and his gang of kobolds, the dead end close to the toll house is now has an Ogre and several gnolls, the gith patrol is now joined by a lesser drake, there's a bugbear and his pet warg at the campfire with the Dagger+1 stuck in the roast, there's a displacer beast hidden in the empty cave before the displacer minefield, in the nautiloid remains you can find and fight two injured Mindflayers in the big open arena with the severely injured one stuck under rubble nearby, etc.The only problem with the Emerald Grove/Risen Road additions is the lesser drake, and only because it was obnoxiously coded to have a 2 turn AOE frighten it can inflict every turn, an at-will breath weapon that is basically just Fireball, and an auto-retaliation breath weapon the first time it receives damage/turn. The fight is *almost* actually really fun, you can turn the roar to your advantage by having your party under the effects of Heroism since the AOE can also inflict Frighten on the gith patrol. Even the breath weapon retaliation isn't the worst thing ever (cont)

The real issue with the fight isn't the Frighten (though obnoxious) or the large healthpool or the resistance to all damage, or the retaliation, its the fact that it has no cooldown on its breath weapon and possesses multiattack. It can roar, breath weapon, multiattack, then breath weapon again if you hit it all in one turn. The only way I was able to get through it was the cheese the fight with Sanctuary and let the dragon kill all the gith first, then summon Lump and his friends as meatshields so my party could gang up on the drake with impunity. The fight would be SO much more fun if either its breath weapon were restricted to only the retaliation, or if the retaliation was replaced with the roar attack and it lost the ability to roar at will. Still, it was tolerable and doable. The real problem is that in the creche, several of the new enemies are completely bugged. One enemy is a mishmash using Balthazar's data, and killing him bugs out the real Balthazar, soft locking the game in Act 2. There's an encounter with three spiritual guardians in the Temple of Lathander guarding the blood of lathander, and not only do they not make much thematic sense (a golden genie, minotaur and red cap themed after yin/yang/balance shit) they're all bugged too and cause CTD's if they're inside aura AOE's, get knocked prone, among other things. The actual Act 2 inclusions were also terrible, like adding a bunch of high HP enemies right in the area you're supposed to do the ambush sidequest in, preventing you from..actually being able to do the ambush. The quality of the mod took a complete nosedive and never got fixed.There is a great alternative I've played up to the end of Act 2 with though on mod.ioIt is both updated and so far, bug free

After they were all gone, I'd go to the circled room and climb on a crate and start sniping. The spectator's pathing would take it to the area marked X and from there it just can't do anything. The only problem is that you're somehow still in range of its legendary action, Ocular Nightmare. But even if you get paralysed it still can't reach you. From there you just snipe it until it dies.
