If you have Destroyer looking dudes popping smokes and invis or Assassin looking dudes using a shield, you're always going to have to do a coin toss on what your enemy has access to at any given time. The choice at that point comes between having a modular kit where nobody has any form of abilities, or you have the current system. I honestly don't mind the latter because the game does a good job knowing what you're up against in a single glance.

What do you think causes people to have gear fear? I haven't really experienced it before. I think the only time I did is when I was new at a game and was still getting a feel for it. This game gives a lot of "low risk" options too. Its the same issue I think people have with elixirs in final fantasy or something. They will say "Well, I need to hold onto this elixir for when I really need it." and then never use it. Even though they were in dire situations.

>>560461874That's what actually makes it the X-factor when fighting fills. You never know whether you're doing 1v3, 2v3 or 3v3. With a Recon aboard or some Prox nades/TAD you can atleast check whether you're liable to get third partied, but when you have the kind of situations where the fills are all over the place you're either in a situation where you have to assume it's fill due to white shields or then make the gamble it's an actual team that can still be deadly with some strategy. It's why i mentioned the Recon thing, you're liable to always have to roll the dice in that specific situation, when you see blue or purple hits you can atleast make some form of educated guesses.

So, the biggest risk of trios is basically when you go in with anything greater than a green shield and a kitted long range weapon. Even if your season level is 40+ you still get squaddies who come in with free kits and then run straight to hauler and then act bewildered when their blue shielded third mate doesn't join them in sprinting to their deaths, which inevitably happens, and then you have to exfil by your self and question why you ever bothered kitting up for trios on Perimeter in the first place.

Would like some feedback from other solo players ITT, have any of you guys noticed a spike in difficulty over the past half a week? Both in successful exfils and the priority contracts themselves? Progress was nice initially, got to level 10-15 with most factions, got a vault full of blues, but now I feel like I'm just spinning wheels. The priority contracts went from "doable solo" to "batshit insane" stuff requiring me to kill multiple purple shield commanders in a single run in PVP hotspots and the like. The PVP itself went from somewhat fun to me just often getting obliterated as well and it's draining the fun and will to keep playing.

It also doesn't mask their footsteps in any way so you can usually pinpoint their location that way. Solo is definitely filled with them though but that's mainly because they can complete priority contracts a lot easier by moving through POIs without alerting bots and having access to easy exfil options.

I personally wouldn't say I am kill on sight when encountering other runners. But if I am going to an area and they are there, I will fight them. If they are not in my direct path, I will usually not engage them.

I hope this just isn't a me-thing but I noticed that it's far easier to spot players who are and or using a bright shell skins and weapon skins that are super bright like any of the guns that are neon pink (Scar especially)I can be coming into South Relay and spot a player simply by the colors going by windows. It's nuts.To me the very best shell skin in my experience is the CyberAcme skin that makes you all black and only the secondary and or detail parts of the skin are green.Second to this is Traxus but the Assassin Traxus Skin makes the face white so you can get headshots far easier.Unironically the best skins in the games are the paid skins. Vandals Achromatic Rush from the paid part of the Season Pass and all the skins you get from buying the Deluxe Edition of the game and their skins are incredible for just not being glanced by other Runners.May not seem like anything at first but my god.Some of the weapons are so notoriously bad too, any of the chunkers, if you have a gun with bright colors like my examples remove that shit, make them neutral grays or blacks or darker colors.

Tracking players that you didn't quite kill is extremely powerful, and a free tracking heat grenade (if it doesn't go turbo idiot) is fantastic.
