About to try cyberpunk 2077. Should I play as male or female V? I don't really care about romance. I just want to pick whoever has the better VA.
What is the deal with the lack of dwarf beards? Not only has the dwarf beard seemingly disappeared, lots of RPGs seem to be trying to push beardless dwarves. The almost impossibly big beard is part of what makes a dwarf a dwarf and not just a midget. I just tried Solasta 2 and was very disappointed by the appearance of dwarves and the total lack of proper dwarf beards in the character creator. The Solasta 1 character creator, for all its faults, had proper dwarves with proper dwarf beards. The beards were a bit jank at times and could glitch out and look like false beards at times, but they were still better than whatever the fuck the scruff we get in Solasta 2.

There has almost not been a single fight where the enemies have ignored everything in melee to attack them Ac is not a problem, I can stack that, but not on every member and certainly not for every fight (at least yet)

Corruptor bypasses immunity to poison, but delat poison doesn't give immunity, but rather it suppresses the effects of poison. It's a subtle difference but it's what makes Corruptor not bypass it. You're still affected by the poison, you just don't feel the effects. Same thing with Unbreakable Heart and Confusion or Domination effects.

I situated my base between a Holy Farm and a Holy Mine, keeping them both safe as well, always ready to lend military help. Every time Shek invade, I made sure they don't die in battle they crave so. Instead I heal them and help my fellow chudbros from nearby Mine to make proper servants out of them, helping those daemons too to purify darkness out of their soul so they can be reborn pure.

Esoteric Ebb combat is a fucking mess that work only if you CON-maining. Every fight is basically scripted to end after a specific amount of turns, with only rare cases of you having a chance to affect it by a successful roll to finish it for like 1 turn faster, and without the biggest amount of health possible you just keep restarting the fight constantly do to damage you receive outdamage your healing spells. At least in DE you was basically immortal until you have enough money to keep magnesium, and whatever thing was for mental hp, on you.

There are weird aspects that take a bit to understand like power level, inspiration/affliction hierarchies, and the weird math of effect stacking. But once you figure that stuff out it’s very fun. I also really like the disposition system support roleplaying mechanically. It’s frustrating how much Deadfire is undermined by narrative and character issues (plus the fucking boat stuff) given how much it does well. That’s a big reason why I really want a Pillars 3. Not just the chance to fuck pale elves.

Aaand I'm done with DOS2. Explored the different endings as well.The game really shines in combat, it's the most fun I've had so far in CRPGs due to very interactive mechanics. Sometimes exploiting the situation feels right to me, because the player is sometimes at a disadvantage against the encounters (higher level, better positions, larger in numbers, special skills, etc), specifically, fuck Isbeil's encounter.Since the player is at a disadvantage, I guess it would've been nice if certain encounters weren't done that surprises the player, like the citizens that turn into demons in Arx. They're at level 20 and I was at level 17. Or maybe just some slight adjustment would be okay, but that's just for me.As for puzzles, they're okay, but the puzzle in DOS1 is a bit better, like having to get a specific weight was a bit fun, imo. At the last stretch, I was practically done with the game, so the POWER levers was just tiresome for me. I think Larian should've moved these into Act 2 instead.Lastly, the story. It's an interesting rise to divinity story, I'll give Larian that. Having to help my god, then killing him and then claiming divinity was good enough to keep my interest. However..
Ulbrig is a pretty good damage dealer and his ab is decent but his ac is so fucking piss you genuinely need to give him 100 buffs to send him into melee because he will die if the enemy decides to focus him randomly

I think there was a big backlash on the original release's ending slides which prompted Larian to just make ending slides for practically anyone in this game. You could also tell from the quality of the art because there was a mismatch of it in the ending slides.What's really bad is when you surrender to the Godking and then next is you're on the boat and everyone hates your guts. I fucking hate animal companions in WOTR, they take up too much space.By far my least favorite part of this game is my party getting stuck on each other in combat and not being able to squeeze past in hallways. Mine wasn't but him critting on a 17 means even protective luck wont protect you from a crit into death combo, on unfair that would be double damage too for 4x total You have to send in your tank first, so maybe get some summons in the meantime since he will always focus them if you summon them before he engages you. He switches targets after missing some hits and seems to love prioritising new targets that enter his range so your tank will only aggro him for maybe 1-2 turns With this in mind everything you send in needs to be buffed with concealment and you should consider delaying your people until you see a kill. Those two turns is what made this possible His ac isn't that bad to hit, it's better than his spell pen so I would recommend a team of last stand melee characters with outflank to just kill him for a party, besides your buffers Alternatively you can dispel every buff until you remove freedom of movement, bait his dimension door with a pet, and drag him through spike stones while peppering him with arrows until you win
