you can slam fire the new shotgun making it fire pretty fast, though only 7 rounds in the magazine. penetrates medium armor and does a surprising amount of damage, really good all-rounder. the bayonet also works and it thrusts forward like a spear giving you good reach but it doesn't seem to do a lot of damage. I found bayoneting in the head would 1-tap a voteless but otherwise it would take at least 2. better to just reload and fire again.the smg has 45 round mags, you get 5. it has 3 tanks of fuel. fires pretty slow but it felt pretty good.the gas mortar fires 1 round every 5 seconds or so. it keeps a gas cloud going for its entire duration.the flamer has about 25 meters of reliable range and 500 fuel which runs out quickly, but a resupply will entirely refill the tank. the flame buff where enemies get slowed and panic feels pretty good but as soon as you stop flaming them they go right back on you. gas is a lot more reliable because it sticks so even the sterilizer will debuff enemies for longer than a flamer.the shovel works the same as it always has except it fits in your pistol slot rather than support weapon slot. if you've ever picked one up in a mission, it's the same as it's always been. most POIs you can't dig in but out in the field works pretty good. 2-3 swings and you'll have a decent foxhole. best on bots > squids > bugs. squids isn't as useful because most of their ranged damage comes from above so you'd need a ridiculously deep hole to get any cover.the mauser uses 6round stripper clips to reload kinda like the autocannon with a 12-round capacity. you can't reload unless there's room for all 6 rounds, so you won't waste any. that also means you can't top up all your rounds unless you're exactly half or exactly empty. feels pretty ok, but probably won't displace the usual suspects in the pistol slot.you get two of the giga grenades but they will 1-shot a hulk or tank. doesn't throw very far so you'll probably explode yourself too.

RR in HE mode does this better, but the epoch frees up a backpack slot and is barely passable vs chargers.
