Western Sonic stories are all really bad. They just wrote a 20 minute audio fight scene that didn't add anything to the characters aside from Rouge wanting to fuck Espio. A literal waste of time. You can't even use this as background noise because it's just explosion after explosion with Whisper somehow being heard and Tangle going "uhh well that just happened". Soulless. Utterly soulless. The Sonic canon is fucking dead. This is part of the reason why people are offended by the manga being non canon. It isn't that the manga needs the canon to be valid, it's that the canon fucking sucks now. A shitty animated series. A shitty audio series. Constant nostalgia pandering to Sonic Adventure 2 and the classic era without actually trying to feel like those titles. IDW exists to advertise the games. To bring in new fans of Sonic. But instead IDW basically became its own subfranchise. It's doing what Boom wanted to do. Now we have a whole fandom who adore IDW's "interpretations" of each character. It's for idiots. Pure idiots. The story was more of a 6/10, could've been more compelling and the ending left something to be desired.
