Then you need alchemy whetstones and alchemy boosters to have your alchemy and hunter art gauges buffed. Then I try to my stamina buffed with a stamina song and my health constantly going up with alchemy immunizers. If that's all buffed I go for alchemy earplugs so I don't get interrupted during moves or alchemy fireballs for fun. I don't have attack up on this horn either or I'd keep that up too (probably relying a lot on the hunter art that gets all your buffs up)

I also finally put time into learning gammoth and that's actually a genuinely fun fight when you learn it properly instead of just hitting the back legs. I don't remember if I've done this before or not but I decided to quantify it. World shares 32% of its roster with 4U. Now for monhun in general, this isn't out of the ordinary but for mainline specifically it is. The only other time mainline has retained this much of the direct prequel's roster was with dos and that was at the beginning of the series. Tri/3U pretty much redid the entire roster and while 4U brought back a lot of gen 1 and 2 monsters, it brought back way less third gen monsters (only about 18% if its roster). Wilds is also wildly different from world's roster as well so world sharing so much of 4U's roster is notable because it's uncommon. Interestingly, wilds also shares 30% of its roster with 4U. You might say "well there's only so many monsters in the series" but mainline pretty much hasn't touched third gen in fucking ages outside of lagi's recent appearance so it's not like there aren't other monsters they could bring back. Hell even some second gen monsters like shogun have yet to return to mainline at all despite becoming mainstays in portable. So there you have it. It's pretty damn clear tokuda has basically been remaking 4U with every new mainline since 4U. The ideas, the characters, and in large part the roster. I can't blame him too much because 4U was the first mainline that was actually a success on par with portable but man...do they really not have any new interesting ideas?

Imagine if wilds had a switch 2 port and ran well at launch. People might have actually bonded over the game regardless of quality at that point just because it would have been the first full multiplat cross play monhun everyone could play at the same time with no issues. Instead they spent a year improving performance and now they'll shit out a half-assed switch port for the expansion. An expansion which only half of wilds players will even buy. We'll have to wait for P6 for the true uniting of the community. Available on every platform, cross play, and if predictions are right a shit ton of content. Does it suck that Strength Hammer is comparatively shit? Yes. But I greatly prefer a world where Courage Hammer is the meta than one where spamming Impact Crater is the meta. The same praise applies to the rebalancing of Lance so that mindnumbing Spiral Thrust spam was no longer the meta. Of course, all of this doesn't even take into account Sunbreak's balancing changes with regards to raw damage and elemental damage. Remember: Back in base Rise, the meta weapon for just about any weapon class was going to be raw (like with Insect Glaive in base Rise, you were pretty much stuck with Nargacuga IG forever since it was just so much better than every other option, even title updates didn't change this). Base Rise's weapon balancing on the whole was just so, so, so unbelievably dogshit that it pisses me off the game's retarded director put in no effort whatsoever to do any rebalancing tweaks. It took a completely new director to actually address the game's long list of balancing problems.
