Mosaic is actually such a cool runeword that totally fixes the martial artist assassin. Tier 3 phoenix strike is worse than tier 2 and tier 1. And it feels like awful to downgrade tiers because of the way melee has tons of glitches and the hit doesn’t always connect, meaning you see your character attack but don’t always generate the combo point. Altho I feel like it’s a missed opportunity with mosaic, there was lots of potential to use different charge up and finishers. Now you’ll just always want to use a t3 phoenix strike released with dragon talon every single time. Lol I might actually buy d2r just to play phoenix strike assassin with mosaic. It’s actually still pretty fun even in 1.14 without mosaic. Melee in arpgs is just way more fun, but it’s almost always bad, like they had to literally give barbarian twice as many items to compete, and it’s still way worse. For the simple reason, if ranged can’t kill fast, nobody will play ranged. And if ranged is killing fast it will always be better than melee who is also killing fast. Happens literally every time except in Diablo 3, but that wasn’t really melee. Monk would just press its spell which was basically omnistrike and you’d afk while it hit everything. Thats not true melee, we’ve like never seen melee combat in the genre. Flicker strike isn’t melee either you literally cast it from ranged. It’s like totally not possible. Melee is also way harder to program. Lol Diablo 4 doesn’t really count dude because that game placed you against extremely high hp enemies, and that lets melee compete. But, that part of the game wasn’t really relevant. I jack off so much, at least 8 times per day.

Does more damage effect DoTs? I see no reason it shouldn't but it isn't mentioned in the DoT wiki. Everything I googled shows it talking about on hit. Path of Building shows it increasing my dot damage but after getting my 4th Ascendancy that grants 15% more Cold damage, I can't tell the damage in maps. I thought that it would've been a larger power spike but it is so far not noticeable.
