>>560749724I'm so glad we finally got to play this build and see how shit it was so everyone can stop pretending it was some kind of unearthed gem.
Resignation is my virtue, like water I ebb and flow, the end of /hg/ is simply the addition of time to a sentence I never deserved, but you imposed

>>560750038I've made my peace with leaving this place after next thread. If it goes on, it goes on without me. I'll stop by for some game nights still, but if there's one thing I've learned as I've gotten into my 30s it's that nothing is supposed to last forever, and that's ok.
>>560749724Peak year for humanity
>>560750171>I'll leave but not really teeheeYou've gotten into your 30s, but you've learned nothing.

>>560750509sameI have a new relationship I really want to work out and I came to the conclusion that 4chan is the biggest time waster that probably needs to go. But I'll stick around for the milestone before retiring.

>>560751626AAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>560750342Were the 90s really better than the 2000s overall?
>>560751626henlo dlss 5!
>>560751768Overall yes.I was born IN 1990 so obviously I can't say I experienced them firsthand as someone more engaged in the culture, but that's the thing about the 90s, they almost were more general-audiance centered in some respects to where a lot of what was talked about was something almost everyone was engaging in. This excludes things like foreign affairs and the state of the world obviously, but even there, the 90s has the 2000s beat. Compare the toppling of the USSR and a speedy victory in the Gulf to a middle Eastern quagmire and troublesome natural disasters and it's really no contest. The arts, be it music, gaming, film, etc. were less pozzed in general and in many mediums were just of a higher average quality. It really was the last gasp of pre-online humanity, and I think that makes it more authentic.I will say though that the YTK sub-era specifically which kind of bridges both decades has its own unique appeal I can appreciate.
>>560751626>>560752045I didn't even think of it in this light but I would be interested to see what the tech can do for CEmake because I genuinely can't imagine it looking worse.
Would Halo still have been a household name during the early 2000s if it had stuck with Mac? You think it would have evolved into an fps still or would it have stayed an RTS? Wonder what the games industry might have looked like if Halo had taken a different route. Would the original Xbox have failed? Would Xbox Live have even been a thing?
It probably would've gotten the same amount of fanfare as the Myth games.
>>560754619>Would Halo still have been a household name during the early 2000s if it had stuck with Mac?No.>You think it would have evolved into an fps still or would it have stayed an RTS?FPS.>Would Xbox Live have even been a thing?Something similar would have happened anyway.
>>560754619>Would Halo still have been a household name during the early 2000s if it had stuck with Mac?Almost certainly not>You think it would have evolved into an fps still or would it have stayed an RTS?Harder to say but I do think it's mostly irrelevant to your first question>Wonder what the games industry might have looked like if Halo had taken a different routeThe console shooter market would have probably either stalled out or taken a radically different turn. There's a good chance FPS stays a mostly PC thing.>Would the original Xbox have failed? Yes>Would Xbox Live have even been a thing?Probably. That was already in the works independent of Halo anyway.
>>560751515ayy
>>560751768It had its lows, but it's hard to beat the lows the 2000s had with 9/11, the war on terror, social media, smartphones and the 08 crash. The 90s were pretty up there because the USSR was gone for good and it was the first decade in fifty years where you didn't have the threat of nuclear armageddon hanging over your head, for as long as that lasted.
So over spartan ops I can barely make it through episode 6 this is the most boring halo experience ever
>>560756146You being "over" it is a purely conceptual thing of your own manifestation.Spartan Ops CANNOT beat you. Only you can choose to give up.Remember anon, Infinite continues means no game overs.
>>560756146Don't be an egghead, Crimson.
Is spartan assault and spartan strike worth playing
>>560756649Assault? Sure. Strike is just more Assault but somehow more boring.
>>560756649The Co-Op for SA is the only thing I can on any level genuinely reccomend you going out of your way to experience. The main campaign is very slop-tier.I also disagree with the other anon that responded to you. I think Spartan Strike's campaign generally improves the formula, but not enough for me to really reccomend it because there's no co-op.
>>560742507how do you know if it's actual butter or if it's just industrial waste product? how do you know if the cow ate greens?>>560745221>kill*termination
>>560758182You don't know.On some level you have to have broad trust in the institutions. You can have suspicions over individuals mechanisms, but not the system at large. That's just schizo behavior. For example, I ""know"" Master Chief would beat Locke in a real fight. I don't need boomshit to explain that to me, but if someone was really that concerned after playing 5, whoch is understandable, that resource is there I guess.
>>560758620I want to be good faith but you've made my opinion of you so much worse. Wtf kind of smokescreen bullshit answer is that?
>>560758834Trust in the force Master Chief.
>>560758924Nah you're a retard. Do not give advice to anyone ever.

>>560758834A better example: You "know" I typed that post on my phone because of the spelling errors and how they resulted based on how a keyboard is laid out, even if you can't definitively prove I didn't do it on purpose.
>>560761070I have no interest in your sophistry.
>>560760517Call of Duty, even when it's in the moment more entertaining, even when it's terrible, even when it's on mobile, even when it's free to play, even before it was on console, has always and will always be the epitome of FPS slop.FUCK Call of Duty. /hg/ outliving it is a better send-off than I could have bought with a month's pay.
>>560761219>sophistry.This is basic bitch tier reasoning.Furthermore you've presented no actual response or rebuttal. So I guess thanks for bumping, and I'll take the W.
