And because it was a dime-a-dozen kusoge gacha, Sony/Aniplex didn't give a shit about having too many rights so Takeuchi managed to keep most of them during initial negotiations. FGO is a golden goose cash cow that Type-Moon can do whatever the fuck they want with. That's why when Nasu saw how bad launch FGO was, and how people hated it, Nasu felt bad enough to force changes to make it suck less AND had the legal power to make it happen. Any other gacha would've never had such a boon.But Nasu also wants to work on other shit, instead of FGO 24/7. Plus Nasu said he wanted to give FGO a real ending that fans would've thought was worth the wait. Those two in a vacuum are pretty reasonable. So we got an ending, just one that Nasu thought was super cool and impactful. Then Nasu puts down the groundwork for Part 3 and then leaves. I don't think Nasu's quitting FGO for good.
