Ok so I just started the very beginning of the main quest after you leave the abyss for the first time. Why did people say that the quest are non sensical? I don't think anyone is explaining the game properly.This isn't a "story bad" thing. It's that there's ZERO interactivity outside the main quest. You can't play like elder scrolls here. Maybe like what, avowed? So it's pointless to explore outside the quests, because NOTHING happens outside the quests. THAT'S the problem, so it's a FAKE open world game. It's not about the story being bad, it's there's no open world interactivity. People can ignore the story, they can't ignore zero interactivity. The game is a linear quest in an open world, and the story complaint is that the quests are bad, which is the FULL EXTENT of the game. Like maybe you can kill monsters, but there's no side quests, or NPC interaction, and you're FORCIBLY given annoying busy work which should have been optional. From what I've heard, the game isn't really finished, and likely needs a rework of the quest system. The graphics also sound like they're too optimized, and need better pop-in transitions. You can enjoy the game, but that requires blindly following the quest system, and not having any issue with it.

The over the top emotionality fits an Anime, not a Western story, the stoicness and silence of Kliff actually makes sense, its familiar now. I wasn't expecting an RPG, I was expecting a good action adventure game. What I got instead (so far, 5 or so hours in) is a bad action adventure game that is showing me enough glimmers of hope to stick it out until the world opens up, I get some more moves, etc. basically the game is a mess but I think later on it might have enough fun/cool factor to be very enjoyable.

Enemies don't seem to respawn in abyss puzzles so if you fuck up I think you're screwed. I can see it on my minimap but it isn't there when I loaded back into the game today. This type dropped a core needed for the puzzle.
