Sonic X had some problems but overall it was pretty good. The main problem was the two worlds premise and the existence of the thorndyke family overall. Chris doesn't do anything, his family occupy too much screen time and inject false tension by having to keep sonic and friends a secret and that gets abandoned quickly into the first seasons lifespan. The grandpa genius is redundant because tails exist and they're overall only responsible for like two episodes existing, the mansion and the baseball one, which are fairly decent episodes desu but they're very redundant otherwise and could have been replaced by any random kid of the week who needs help like the wheelchair girl, who had arguably the best episode centered around a human cast member of anyone in the show. Characterization is generally solid outside niche complaints like sonics flanderized dislike of water into full blown fear, Eggman a little too goofy and soft hearted for some people's tastes, reimagining of adventure game plotlines and tails being not very useful for a lot of the show, mostly being background noise to sonic and Amy occupying the screen but that's fine because who gives a fuck about tail?Overall it's a solid 7.5 out of 10, with season 3 going off the rails and being a 6/8 depending on how much you like the nonsense.
