One of the more unique elements of Saki's route is that it's a rare case of a Player-P even planning to do something that will directly harm the idol they're in charge of. GKP's original plan of letting Saki go out in a Blaze of Glory is... pretty distasteful. Even the antagonists of other im@s branches like Kuroi and Mishiro haven't done anything like it.It also changes the context of GKP's "If you quit being an idol, I will quit alongside you" speech to Saki. I thought it was a statement of confidence in Saki but now I think it was more of a prophecy and atonement. In the "Fireball" timeline, Saki quits when as she achieves Legendary Top idol status. And what he says is true: there's no more point in being a producer if Saki quits. But it won't be because he failed, it's because he would've already produced a legendary idol. But I also see it as an atonement: he's quitting because he knowingly led the idol he's in charge of to ruin.

Also, he does sorta do that with Tsubame even if she admits she knows it too. But I think the important distinction is that...it's not even wrong. If he suggested it to Saki, you just know she'd say yes. I think there's also a discussion that GKP seems to be willing to do this with Temari but there's a safety net known as Misuzu. Plus, even if Temari is the type to go all out, someone like her who loves idols would never want to do that compared to the more stoic Saki.

I know it's bait material but I wanted to discuss the cross-branch power levels seriously. Anon posted a chart in a previous thread that gives us an idea of how competitive the industry is but after thinking about it a bit, it actually makes sense that top GKs could compete with the B rank idols, especially with the caveat that "they're not as strong even though they won" which is emphasized because Sena being a third year means she's already as old or older than some of these active top idols and Gekka became a top idol straight out of graduation. These schools are just the bougie version of the training schools some girls like Uzuki have actually attended and they'd be absolutely worthless if they couldn't justify their own existence unless they were producing that level of idol.AS and CG have a ton of top idols in universe, which is natural. ML and DS lag behind them. But naturally the big question is where SC falls. I think the default instinct everyone has is probably right honestly. SC has explicitly unpopular units in universe where a lot of members probably actually couldn't compete with the strongest GKs. The office itself is known for their good work environment in universe, not their actual success. Saki probably WOULD beat Koito.That said, Tenka absolutely does clear the entire academy. Alstroemeria is the second or third most popular unit in universe.
