Relink question looking for suggestions: how should I go about managing my surplus of sigils? The main story made it clear that Orchis' father was unusual for being one of the few handful of Astrals to turn on his people and marry a human. And in prior event storylines set during the occupation or the war, we see that the Skydwellers have a seething hatred of the occupiers. That just doesn't make sense if most of the overseers were the people we see here.It feel like the writers are setting up most of the overseers to eventually become playable characters, so they have to be whitewashed of any negative attributes that might make people less inclined to roll for them.

That gets retconned away. So now it turns out that she was just remote controlling robotic suits, and she shows up in person wearing a tacky outfit, and can speak normally. Disappointing. Obviously done because they made her playable and thought that they would garner more sales if she had flesh and looked beautiful and wasn't a mute, etc.

Anime like Naruto, JRPGs like the Trails series, Sephiroth in the FF7 sequels, etc. Eventually the creators decide to capitalize on the popularity of the villains and make them protagonists/playable. So they begin sanding off of the edges and sweeping everything under the rug, or pinning it on newly introduced big bads (who will ofcourse eventually get the same treatment later on).

And then he goes to jail... and is apparently going to be let out eventually? What?
