This discussion is once again reinforcing my belief that most TF2 fans don't know anything about the history of FPS, or the history of games in general. I can't even fathom how laughably ignorant you'd have to be to say modding has no relevance. You'd have to know literally nothing about Valve or Team Fortress or first-person shooters to imply this. Half-Life level designers came from Doom modding. Team Fortress was a mod of Quake. This isn't obscure knowledge it's like the first fucking thing that you learn about these games if you have a semi-serious interest in them. And there's a trillion examples like this that are so numerous that it frankly feels like a waste of time to even write this comment. If you don't know anything about games or game development, why do you choose to try to lecture people with complete nonsense?
