As much as I love Clannad this is my main criticism of the game, though I'll admit it's something that doesn't prevent me from enjoying it. But I think if you wanted to continue any of those routes it would pose a problem. On a side note, the writer of Kyou's route made a Twitter post years ago in which he stated that a Kyou After was planned but got scrapped, and that fans of Kyou would have probably stabbed him for it, so I imagine it would have been something along the lines of Tomoyo After if it did go through. I also think it's telling that Fuko's route, in its romance variant ending, ends immediately after the romance starts; I imagine Jun Maeda wouldn't have any clue how to even write that, and neither would I.
