I’m currently playing through Poe 2, reading every line of dialogue, and there are so many hooks for new mechanics and updates. Each act leaves a few things unresolved and basically says outright that there will be some kind of mechanic here. I also like the fact that they actually tried to explain the changes to the gem mechanics between games by pointing out that the Kalguurans are far more important in the region and are completely unable to use gems so they use runes in their armour and weapons instead. I wonder if the final act will take place in Kalguur, it might just be a hint at future mechanics or an update, but they do mention all too often that their king is collecting Vaal artifacts.

I have 90 all res, 6 endurance charges, crit immunity and Defiance of Destiny. I'm immortal to map monsters, but I still get owned by puddles on the ground, and shaper balls still hurt because I'm not shifting damage from one type to another. It feels okay, man. I just did a 3 floor trial of sekhemas and got the "Garukhan's favour" boon. Supposedly, this lets you ignore the first time you get hit for every room.But I think this boon is bugged. I beat the entire trial without ever losing honour from a hit despite playing sloppy. I'm sure I got hit a few times, but the only honour I lost was due to the spiked exit debuff (you take some physical damage whenever you finish a room). It felt like Garukhan's favour was active indefinately.

Okay, I did another 10 maps strongbox maxxing test. All ambush scarabs, scarab chisel, mirage map. This time I just ran straight to the mirage and only stopped to open currency/div card boxes on the way, in the mirage I only opened currency/div/scarab boxes. This brought my time per map to under 4 minutes, down from 7 and the div/h up to 41 from 29 and I feel like I was pretty unlucky on the tinks, yesterday I got 9 containments back, this time only 1.

Results are in. Includes a small break I had to take, so the actual result is closer to 25div/h. 3 big issues I ran into here:1) When you open more than 2 breaches at a time the game absolutely sharts itself.2) Even when you open 2 it sometimes seemingly "eats" the loot and you don't get shit from a full breach. 2) You basically constantly have the *teleports be hind you* HH mod on, which is annoying as fuck. Boxmaxxing wins, but only by a small margin, since the costs for breach are WAY lower. You can basically run 3 maps for the cost of 1 containment scarab. I have 15,000 HP and 75% chaos res, and I just took 12,000 chaos damage from a single magic monster from a Verisium node. There's one Verisium monster that shoots a purple chaos damage version of Blazing Salvo, and I had multiproj and chain on the map mods, so it hit me like a billion times with one salvo. 12,000 damage dealt in one attack when I had 75% chaos res. If you do the math, a *magic* monster legitimately hit me for 48,000 chaos damage in one attack.
