Slopped up a program to control vrchat movement with just your head, no controller joysticks. Which is useful in the rather specific case where you want to put your hands on the handlebars of a stationary bike and ride around without also having to awkwardly keep the controllers in your palms. It also compensates for vrchat's head-oriented movement so you can look around without changing your vector.

Turning when you actually want to is a bit awkward, but it's pretty nice otherwise. FBT is also not required; it's just holding the joystick forward essentially. I think with a bit more effort to record trackers you could adjust the forward magnitude based on how much you're pedaling. I'll try that later, but desu I'm usually too lazy to put on trackers anyway.

I did try before with the cycling group/map that occasionally gets posted here which uses some nip bike world prefab, but the exact problem of having to hold grip on the virtual handlebars to steer while also gripping the irl handbars never felt good enough to be worth it. Plus you're limited to whatever maps have the prefab.

A less destructive way to do this would be to make fake empty finger bones in blender and assign those to the humanoid avatar in Unity. You can then keep the real finger bones and animate them how you want.
