So people on Reddit are complaining about Heroic frag rates, and while that is true, I think they're really underestimating how bad untradable frags are because it's not currently a problem. When the point comes when all of 6h job is out and you have maxed skills, the only thing it's usable on are Hexa Stats which are a RNG misery system. And if you somehow get good RNG congrats they're genuinely worthless now. Now, I don't think all fragments should be tradable, the ones from Epic Dungeon are explicitly for the character that does the specific Epic Dungeon. But with the changes to the weekly it seems like the intent is to let you spread it around, with the upcoming changes to Guild Castle the fragments there should be tradable, and obviously any drops should be tradable that's a no-brainer.For a more working example, let's look at nodestones. While there are still minor complaints about them not being for sale in a shop somewhere (I'd put it in Grandis for balance reasons), events giving them out like candy now are enough that most people aren't complaining. On the other hand, off event it's still kinda miserable, Mystic Frontier gives out a pittance on RNG (although I greatly appreciate the EXP nodestones). You might be thinking "just use the drops from your main retard". While that is correct, firstly that's less relevant for anyone new coming in off even if almost every event is on event now, and secondly that's exactly why you should be able to do it with fragments. Untradable fragments aren't hard to come by, remasters give them out, burning events give them out, there's 800 in that Lucid Burning event which makes your main the best target for it for any Heroic player. But dropped ones are only untradable because KMS wanted to penalize Reboot players and no other reason, just fix that alone and you're already well on the way to making it reasonable.

Making them tradeable doesn't help anyone on heroic because you are just ball and chained to your main for grinding frags. In a legion champ meta we need to be able to acquire at least 1000 a week to max hexa in a year. Daily players are currently at 4 years and rising to max hexa, wappers are about half maxed at 290 and at 2 years to max hexa. If we're getting a new legion champion every 6 months we should be able to at least max half it's hexa in that time.

Maplers are reasonably skeptical given Nexon's track record. Most know how bad Nexon can be. A lot of Classic friends seem to have high expectations as a result.

Modern is basically for people who forgot games are about fun, which I think classic will have a better community, development, and gameplay than choreslop and 500trillions of hp on bosses.

Do I think PQs and Classic World's emphasis on party grind is probably a better direction to take it? Sure. Do I sort of miss the map design of Victoria Island? Sure. But once you get second job you slowly realize there's nothing to do until you fight Zakum, who is basically a damage race with almost no mechanical depth, and there's zero bosses better designed than Zakum. Now, there's a part of me that hopes Classic actually reworks bosses to be fun, in which case it's easily clear GMS Interactive and MapleSEA and other objectively terrible ways to play the game. The added depth to the equipment system already tells me that they're willing to take concepts from the newer game and rework them with an older mindset. I kind of want to see some mobility changes in 3rd job so bosses can have mechanics you can avoid in class specific ways. Mages have teleport, give both thieves flash jump, Dragon Knight should just have huge HP while the other two warriors should have a shield or percent reduction or something to just tank it, and archers should either have some sort of i-frame or up jump or fucking rope lift I dunno (we can think about pirates later).

I think Mystic Frontier should be reworked on Heroic to basically only give a boosted amount of Frags, Nodes, and Flames mainly and these cube rewards only serve to dilute the reward pool to the point of it being not a necessity to do. Glowing pouches should be downright removed from the heroic pool as well Since there's so much trash rolls in blue/purple bags some of it should be cut out as well like 2x exp coupons, miniwaps, rorowaps, eaps, any type of cube, any type of trait item. We should get higher rates of pitched cores, star specks/shining specks, and higher chance of pitched chaos box to make up for those not being in the auction house.
