While I do think it's very cool to have nice 3D models for so many girls who never had them before, there's virtually no interaction with them beyond the combat. By contrast, every AT character and supporter has an intimacy scene. The main quest and every event story has character interaction. In Squad we have ten bond stories which make use of 22/152 characters and those are pretty good, but we need a lot more of that. Simply grinding for cores and shards does make for an experience people are going to get attached to.
