However, I can't honestly say it's been smooth sailing all the way because I still encounter small annoyances and issues here and there. For example, for some mysterious reason the default image viewing app (Gwenview) takes ages to load and freezes constantly. Also at some point my PC completely froze and refused to boot after multiple restarts, but then it restarted normally as if nothing happened. I still have no idea what that was about. So switch on your own risk. Still, it's not like Windows is getting any better over time.

I don't think this scene has been discussed much from her perspective, but I have wanted to say that in my opinion, this is one of the most overlooked moments in the game for how subtle it was. Renee after having been told thst Ashley's essentially going to defacto prostitute herself, then proceeds to reprimand Andrew after keeping a poker face with Ashley. I do think this scene had something deeper to it, and I do think Renee's views on Ashley are a bit more complex than she leads on. There is no real reason to reprimand Andrew from the view of keeping a chirade of a functioning family up. Which, I do think she gave up on at at that age in her life. So I don't think she prioritized that with Ashley then, as she knows that that would be her ultimately still be her responsibility and she wouldn't scold Andrew for that. I think that's why she was mad at Andrew, and more importantly why she didn't directly do so with Ashley. As she said herself, she's not going to be upfront about her emotions with her daughter. Because deep down she is aware of how much of a failure she was as a parent, and more importantly how Ashley doesn't owe her anything. But at the same time, she herself doesn't want to play on Ashley's terms. She doesn't want to be vulnerable, so she takes out her frustrstion on Andrew, the only person Ashley does trust. Because she not only knows he understands Ashley better, but also knows that he can care of her better than she can. So I do think she got mad because she felt like Andrew neglected someone Renee does care about, mainly because she can't see herself as vulnerable to most anyone besides Douglas. And would rather hurt someone she does care about than let herself possibly get hurt like that. I think a lot of Renee's character is more to do with her mom than we think, and I do think that emphasizes why she particularly treats Ashley like she does or doesn't think it's too bad. Afterall, she didn't even speak to her own mom for seemingly decades.
