While cost is higher to pity a unit, the exchange rate for crystal drops is also more efficient, which means a better cost-return for certs in the shop.>Getting at least one copy of the newest card is never a bad practice, even if the card itself may not be good, since you're likely to get multiple copies of other cards to level up. It's never mandatory to try and get the second level specific-unit bonus on the card, no matter how good it is.
