And how is the system at all balanced now that one family's gone and at least one pack is gone? Not to mention, they mention that Xichun becoming hierarch lets her command the packs, but shouldn't she only command her own pack (dead) and maybe the chickens? Or does the hierarch get supreme control over all of them? Why would having one more pack matter if that's the case?
