The reception to CD has been quite bizarre. In my country the media and influencers priding themselves into being hardcore gaymers either started bashing it pre-release so they made their opinion before testing and kept it to not seem duplicitous or they gave it scores as low as 5/10 because they expected a TW3/RDR2/Elden Ring type game. Is Focused Insight supposed to be such a strong, necessary mechanic? Most humanoid bosses are faster than any reaction Kliff can have. They teleport around and attack faster than any of his parry frames and the dodge feels awkward.Focused Insight lets you sit on your ass, watch the enemy at slow motion, and react to its moves, at absolutely no cost. Heck, it's arguably the best strategy to defeat Antumbra's Sword and Crowcaller. But nothing stops you from using it on anything else. Heck, it's supposed to have a cost of 1 focus per second, but I'm sure it's an incorrect description, you have to manually tap Block normally for parries.

There's no need for any of it, since all the information you are supposed to learn the guard you need to talk to straight up gives you. Learn who the faction is? No need to eavesdrop because he literally tells you it's the Blue Fangs. Learn the name of the faction leader? He fucking tells you. But the game pretends you don't know and gotta learn it. Around 30+ hours of gameplay ago, i was exploring the mountains around Scholastone and found a smaller hole than this one that led to one of those Focus Palm stones. But I lacked the skill or even the know how of how to break them open at the time, so i skipped it.Anyone might know which hole im talking about? This small cave below Scholastone, has a Torch on the ground outside and 4 torches you can light inside. The dark tunnel is a deadend of like 2 meters. I've tried a different combination of lighting the torches, palm struck all the walls and the floor. The game won't let me use the Torch in any way.
It's a small thing, but for me the fact that the greymanes embrace Kliff every single time he finds them is doing wonders for fostering appreciation towards them.

Since I'm forced to have this shield on my back are there any cool abyss gear interactions? From what I've read only defense will apply while not using the shield, all the standard stuff like attack speed or crit will not.
