I have a Quest 2 right now that I've pirated some games on. I was wondering if it was worth getting a Quest 3 right now, since the ram shortage shit isn't ending soon. I was waiting for a Q4 but that seems far away now and will probably be upwards of $600-$700 bucks. Steam Frame seemed all right but the price will probably be ~$800 and it doesn't even have color passthrough which is retarded (for my use case). I plan on doing mostly VaM stuff or VR videos but would it still be smart to get a Q3? I can see some listings on ebay for ~$360 for used ones. I'll have to get lenses too because my vision is shit so that's an additional $100, and also $100 more for accessories, so $550 bucks or so in total.

Use the link and load it into blender, then go into pose mode and see if it even has skirt bones any more. If not, you're in for a lot of work or you can just give up on it. If it does, you can then reconfigure it in unity to work again and add physbones manually.

Most headsets are 'standalone' in that you're supposed to use them to play vr games on the headset itself (like the onboard computer runs them), but this is only good for a couple of games. They're computers so they can also run something that lets you stream VR games from your PC, and the controls are streamed back to your PC letting you play any PCVR game too. The downside is the video is encoded, but if you have a wired connection to the PC or a good wifi connection then the quality is very high. There's also some latency discussions but this is an entire can of worms and for minecraft its PERFECTLY FINE
