It will take a looooooong time before that. The game is constantly updated so anything to crazy gets broken all the time and the current SDK is shit (it needs 700!!! GB to even install). We have to wait until the engine upgrade and proper actual SDK stuff to appears before even stuff like CoC/misery appears let alone anomaly and gamma. Remember that the OG trilogy X-ray SDK released before even SoC. So it will take a very long time until 2 (UE5 hates mods) has reached anomaly levels of modding. Tough Shay has done some cool shit already like “Shays living zone” mod so there is progress.

please no. People should make mods with a bigger focus on story/quest mechanics and lore. It would be also nice to "visit" new places other than Cordon/Garbage/Bar remake number 1323. That worked in the OG games since all the maps were seperate areas, and disconnected from each other, so you could slap random shit around/in between the maps. With STALKER 2 that isn't really possible unless you make zones north of Pripyat, but then you have to make up some way to go to the barely mentioned "northern" part of the zone across the Pripyat river.

Tarkov is neat but I can't into PvP because I have bad luck and get bodied by anyone who is actually vaguely good at games. SPT is fine but I haven't managed to get it to feel like an actually populated match yet or SAIN settings to feel right. I'd love a roguelike mode with increased loot where you lose everything but your stats upon dying and the fence is almost entirely fed by what other players sell. But yeah, ultimately I don't like the Tarkovisation of Stalker mods, I feel like the early '00s aesthetic (artistic decisions and technical limits) and sci-fi heritage of Stalker is an important cornerstone of the identity of the series. Give me XM8s, give me AR70s, give me Yugo subguns, but suffer me not tricked out AR-15s and irl gear queerism.

Also any story mods you really like, going through priboy story next using the overhaul. I started it before but the 20 bottles of vodka was too much to get, and the bandits refused to respawn so I couldn't even try to farm more off of them. hopefully his patch makes that easier.

I do like the mod, though I have a few things to say. I didn't feel like exploring was very rewarding, 95% of the time I bothered I found nothing. Sure there's the odd antirad/food item and the necessary story item, but most stashes are empty. after a while there was no incentive to explore in places I wasn't specifically told to go, because there was nothing there. I ended up just bee-lining to the load trigger for wherever I needed to go. The last couple of maps were frustrating since it was just bolting through the map and dying to radiation I had no meds for, I ran past every enemy I could.

I feel if you expanded more with those wizards and included the dark stalkers you could have had a faction that made more sense to be living further in the zone and be active during the winter. I liked their inclusion in OLR and I think they would be a perfect fit in a mod like this.
Obviously everyone complains about the hospital, but to me all you had to do was make the portals somewhat visible a la the oasis and it would be fine.

But even with everything I said I still really enjoyed myself and would love to see more of your writing, you did a stellar job with that. I talked to every npc I could to see what you had written for the standard dialogue. I really hope you give modding another shot.

What do you expect. Barely any of the old guard are left and is filled with people who have never played stalker. This is why all NPCS have brown eyes, even recurring characters who canonically have had a different eye color.

There are only two endings, one good and one bad. In the bad ending, you are transported to a different timeline where you dig up graves with Patches.

I intended for the northern Zone to be a kind of a gauntlet where the player has to trek towards the Generators but it didn't work out quite how I intended. More stuff could have been added to the maps. I tried to keep the desolate atmosphere but it seems that I went overboard lol.
I might release an update for the mod later this year if I find time.

Sidequests? Not really, one per region (or zero) is really weak. The regions with the most extra quests are also in-line with progression through the game, so as you get furher into the game, there's none. It's been a while since I've played but I seem to recall SIRCAA being the point where there are no more new sidequests or something like that.

Pripyat also has jackshit in it and has nothing amazing to discover or do, it's just random pockets of monolith. But Pripyat has also always been that way but that's perhaps also a consequence of the area being the finish point for the earlier two of the games.
