You play an Uma career first and foremost for each of their special stories, and there's a lot of specific special dialogue for each Uma too including things like Hot Springs or Valentines etc.The races themselves? Really fun. The music? god tier.However, the gameplay loop in Uma is fucking draining. It's really repetitive once you get past the fantasy of the character and it can make you utterly despise certain umas or just the entire premise in general. If you want to do well you're expected to do a shit ton of careers, if you want to help your club you do a shit ton of careers, if you want to do events and get all the rewards you do a shit ton of careers. And yet all the careers take so long to do and even with max speed and knowing every inch of a specific career it'll still take you a long time to do everything.Don't do the careers? You don't get shit.Star Savior has auto journey which immediately makes it 10x better, since now you only need to actually do a journey when you want to and can skip if you don't have the time that day. The Journey itself also feels a lot better since it can be done much, much quicker once you've done one already and it also feels like you have a lot more control and flexibility due to the currency and combat relying on your inputs and not being predetermined. SS Journeys are a small part, meanwhile Uma Careers are pretty much the entire gameplay loop.Overall I like Savior a lot better, but I really do miss the specific kind of spark that Umas have in comparison. The girls in this game are good though
