The fundamental problem with heirloom skins, is no matter what you attach and put on them, they pretty much wind up looking barely different than the default heirloom. They don't change much with colours. The glowing zones attract too much attention visually.

A frame like Mirage or weapon platform Gauss builds can very easily take them to levelcap if you ever wanna do it, but even without her they're still comfy until around level 4000-4500 or so at which point you'd probably appreciate running some kind of ammo efficiency. Energized Munitions would be the comfiest (but there's other options like Akimbo Slip Shot and such) and between Mirage/Gauss Gauss would be the comfier pick because of his lAegis bug DE refuses to fix because they just have a hard-on for Gauss I guess. But yeah for basic bitch Steel Path stuff like basic relic runs, conjunction survivals that don't go long, ETA/EDA, etc they work great. Little investment heavy on the Primed mods is the only real complaint but Endo's easier to come by casually via doing high tier Zariman/1999/Labs bounties, possible 1999 calendar rewards, and Palladino's weekly 6k for 10 slivers so basically free.

So, I’ve been following the discussion around the Mesa Heirloom skin, and after sitting on it for a bit, I think I want to add my perspective - as both a long-time player and a woman. It really makes me feel a lot better about the community's sense of taste. it shows that the vocal part of the community isn’t satisfied with just “naked women in assless chaps.” Obviously it’s a “gooner” skin, but it can also still be stylish. I was personally disappointed with the Valkyr heirloom, because it was so overtly gooner it crossed over into silly for me and I felt like she deserved something better(just my opinion, it’s fine if you enjoy the skin, thats what it’s for) it would just be really satisfying to see Mesa have this nice heirloom skin, that would appeal to both ends of the thirst spectrum with a removable auxiliary poncho.edit: Wow I didn’t expect to wake up and see this post get so much attention. I love the conversations and opinions people are talking about, thank you! Some people have lost the plot, but that’s to be expected for the internet. I truly enjoy seeing people talk about wanting more frame expression in these heirloom designs. let them be sexy and attractive but also let them embody who the frame isRealistically it probably won’t change anything, it’s just nice to be able to relate to the community.
