i swear every day I play this game I am more impressed by it. I just started exploring some of these manufacturing areas in demeniss. found a few crafting books including pic related, a book for a single helmet. that aside, man the countryside feels so damn real in this game. all the little villages and farms and work areas that you can actually send your graymanes to. its genuinely a work of art.

I feel like nobody talks about this, but I appreciate that like 85% of the buildings you see in this game with a door actually has an interior, at least as far as I've seen. And even more so at this size of a world. And while cities aren't nearly as big as they are in other games, there are rooms in almost every building, and even multiple floors at times. Were reviews exaggerating how bad the story is? I'm 3 hours in and just got the ability to float and so far the story is fine for this kind of game. From the reviews I expected a total disaster but it seems fine. Tracking is the most fucking infuriating, half-baked, dogshit mechanic in this game, mostly because it fucking tries to purposefully waste your timeEven putting aside the absolutely irritating choice of forcing you to pull our your lantern every 2 seconds, following the trail as intended FUCKS you. The roaming bosses aren't slow, and they are always following it too. If you're trying to follow this shit, then between having to deal with their inevitable followers or just random enemies (since you can't fucking pull out your lantern if enemies are around), 90% of the time you'll complete 3 whole fucking laps of the trail before you catch them. Considering the boss seems to start at least halfway through the trail away from you, you're guaranteed at least one full lap before you can find them even if you're speedy gonzales.The correct way to do it is to find the trail and follow it BACKWARDS against the intended design, because then the boss will be working with you, not against you.

Has any autist done the math yet which weapon type is the strongest? I tried testing it for myself and it all feels similar, with the exception of Sword & Shield and Dual Wield feeling slightly weaker than 2handed and Spear due to their movesets. Yes, DW comes with 6 slots instead of 5, but they're still tied to the actual weapon itself. It's a slight advantage but not as big as you'd think.

Do you ever get a different armor vendor in the greymane camp? I've been maxing out trust of various merchants and buying their trade contract but I can't seem to find anyone that has their inventory. Specifically for light armors.

If you stack all damage on your left hand weapon but speed on your right, you get the speed on both but only the damage on left handed swings. For unarmed, damage on your boots only applies to kicking attacks. 2h does have a weird advantage, where you get the defense bonus from your shield even if you're not holding it, so if you have a really strong shield on your back and a spear, you effectively have an entire extra layer of armor for no reason.
