Every retard who's been through this thread bragging about how they're sooooooo smart because they're a gamer who knows better when they rush straight into ranked after playing the bare minimum of 100 hours always ends up in Herald/Guardian. Then they cry about how bad the games are, how the losses are not their fault, and then they quit ranked. Either because they can't accept they're shit, or because they managed to lose enough good boy points to go below 6k and get banned from ranked lmao. I think out of all the newbies in the past 3 years, only like one or two posters max didn't end up being hardstuck in Herald. And I haven't seen them post here in months so they got out while the going's good. Good for them.

Anyway, you pick up a MOBA, you sign up for aaaalll the homework. Beta came out in like what, 2009? You have 17 years' worth of homework to catch up on. Don't rush it. You don't get a medal for speedrunning into Herald. 10 games per hero is a good ballpark on getting some experience, and trying them out enough to understand their skills and items and what they're good or bad against. One game/win is just you gambling on getting carried and winning accidentally.

Why is Naga mid not popular? I can only imagine that it's because of the matchups or the fact that the mid lane is further away from neutral camps than the safe lane.

When you lose mid, this is not a guarantee, this is a gamble. Better players will just shove in your lanes quickly and block you. You could get some farm, but it'd be slower and you probably took all the camps your teammates had access to so they're starved. So you have shit farm, and your teammates have none, and you lost lanes so you're already at a disadvantage.

What about offlane naga? While safe lane and mid Naga have over 50% WR offlane has 47%, is that because the closest neutrals are in the enemy side or just bad matchups? I haven't tried offlane but I'd think that since most hard carries are weak early I could have an even match early on and if I managed to get some sort of advantage I could just move in and farm their camps anyway.

I love afk farming and I'm not even joking, I used to play a lot of mmos back in the day so I can grind the same boring shit for 10 hours a day without any fatigue at all. I really find Naga fun, I can't do my own neutral camp stacking using my illusions yet but I'll eventually get there.
When you really think about it, Naga really is the MMO hero, you just pve kill mindless easy trash mobs, eventually get stronger than god and proceeds to oneshot any player nearby who hasn't farmed as much as you.
I've been also thinking about trying Medusa because I think she also just farms but I'm not sure if that's really the case. I also read that she takes a fucking hour to come online and while I certainly don't mind my teammates would mental boom halfway through.

what exactly does it mean when it says that the matchup is perfect, green? Does it mean the skill level of my opponents is not too high, not too low?
Because... I just had a game with 'Great', and my carry was a retarded faggot that fed and tried to pick a non-carry, it got banned, so he picked another non-carry, my support was a moronic barathrum that also fed. We had abysmal KDA, enemy had more than double our score, we lost.

!!SUGGESTION FOR MISTER DOTA 2 POWER POINTS!!

Please make a series of short (around under minute) videos about every hero in the game, you can call it "Hero in a minute" if you want.

In it you just have to quickly explain what each ability does, maybe some general tips for performing well with/against it and some core items you'd always build or at least consider. This format could be very useful as something to watch during the pick phase or the beginning of a match where you're not really sure how the matchup goes or as a refresher.

For my case, I'm >>562336574 and I'm interested in doing the all-hero challenge, but I CBA learning the ins and outs of every single champion, having just the gist of it before a match would be pretty cool and more useful than demoing the hero during the queue. I don't plan on ever having a massive pool of champions either so investing any amount of time beyond "this hero does XYZ" is more than I'm willing to waste.

There are very little drawbacks for this format, as you make your usual longer 10-14 minute videos on a hero you'll inevitably have enough material for the short version (although it'd be nice if you could churn out these short ones faster) and you can even put them all in a compilation once you're done.
