The good performances are usually just because good talent can shine in spite of poor direction. It's really obvious in KH2 where have the infamously terrible performances like Mena Suvari as Aerith. But even some of the original Disney voices gave really poor performances in that game like Ming-Na Wen as Mulan and Linda Larkin as Jasmine were especially bad.
In many ways, KH4 has already been released.

Last week, I finally played Kingdom Hearts III. And honestly... what a letdown. The story tried to tie up years’ worth of plotlines from games I had nο connection with, and it did so in a messy way. The dialogue felt weak, and they completely left out all the Final Fantasy characters and the Coliseum. While the gameplay itself was fun, the story was incredibly convoluted—especially for a game aimed at kids

Rewatching Ansem the Wise's scene toward the tail end of DDD made me realize I became a shittier real world Xehanort. I like Donald a lot in 1 and 2. 1 he's just overpowered outright, and can clear entire encounters with a single thunder on proud and will just feed you health for ever.2 he's been nerfed but every party member has been nerfed in comparison to sora buffs but he's still fine. I really don't get the "he won't heal me" meme. He heals like a lot, guaranteed if I'm in red and he has mp at all. Is that just coping from people not seeing he's out?Damage wise he does pretty decent still, definitely noticable when he thunder boost thunders something. Not having to babysit his mo bar with kh2 mp changes is really nice.would have been cool if he had magnet but duckflate is the best limit so it evens out.Cool guy, how is he in kh3? Never played it.

>>564397986Both Donald and Goofy are closer in terms of damage output to KH1, but still not as useful overall. Limits are replaced with SCs, and there are contextual finishers if you perform a combo near them. The finishers have i-frames, but I'm not sure how strong they are in practice. Goofy's Fusion Rocket has an interesting animation. Donald just does different elemental flavors of Goofy's Fusion Spin.

Starting a KH1 proud mode playthrough, reached Agrabah, and fucking hell It's really hard. I was beat 2 and 3 on critical but 1 is filtering me.

They wouldn't be especially old, but car accidents and cancer and shit happens. And now I'm thinking about the KH fans that will die(or just get bored and wander off) before KH4 finally comes out. Guard Armor was the hardest boss in the entire game and took me like 12 tries, where Sephiroth took only 3 (and other superbosses only 1 or 2).I would say that the mid-lategame is much more reasonable because you actually have tools like Cure and Aerora/ga to work with, and are getting enough MP for magic to be more viable. If you're the type to grind for synthesis etc, endgame gets pretty laughable.
