Which rank is the worst balance wise? Apart from maybe smurfs assendant is a cesspool of boosted animals that just abuse op heroes and don't have any game sense. You can get a lane partner that stands behind the walls 90% of the time or a 90% airtime celeste, it's ridiculous. It genuinely makes one play worse due to how random it is.

I don't mean to be hyperbolic but I think the reduction to 3 from 4 lanes is a fundamental schism in the game's design that we still have not recovered from and we will not possibly ever recover from. Do many of the current problems are amplified by the reduction whereas with 4 lanes the methods of fixing are easier.>weak objectives4 lanes have more of them and more ground to cover for creeps to them, also more ground to cover means slower rotations and more emphasis on movement abilities>too much deathballSplitpushing is far more viable with 4 lanes, and the increased dedication to lane jannying means teams have time to breathe>weak laners just get fuckedSome heroes were literally designed to have free solo farm or get all to themselves versus other weak laners>nothing to do in midgameA fourth walker and efforts to take it down are the midgame>constant urn run deathballUrn on a bigger map is more of an investment and the push and pull of lanes outside of urn + greater time investment makes running it a bigger riskI'm not saying it was perfect, but just that the problems we have run into now would have been easier to solve on 4 lanes than 3. The problems with 4 lanes were mostly as a result of the playerbase, and those problems haven't gone away by just reducing the scale. If anything the fact that there's less space to manage but the mistakes of nobody managing lanes still happens makes it even more frustrating.
