Personally I think it's really fucking stupid that the primary "use" of drive gauge is other people hitting me. Intellectually I get this is a weird attempt to balance out how much drive gets used on offense but it's not making me feel better when Alex is crMP'ing into DRC from max range and charge HP > flash chopping me to the corner and I use one DP and burn out.

Actually that most offensive uses of drive gauge only lower your opponents drive gauge if they don't get hit only reinforces that it's an obscured comeback mechanic.
