Right now Ren/Bowmaster/Hayato/Kanna are FOTM/meta. Some good classes are Mo Xuan, Sia, and Lynn. Everything else is a tier below and requires double the investment to kill the same bosses.

Depends on what you consider "fun". Kanna's playstyle is basically one button for both burst and mini burst + spam four keys for 90% of your burst damage. Then off burst is just softly shooting out toilet paper and tapping one or two skills every 20s.

Adele was a class that was super hyped and overpowered when it came out and a lot of people came back to the game at that time and started playing her which is why she is so dis proportionally popular.
She's a fun class but I wasn't really a fan of how you have to upkeep hunting decree all the time. Visually the class looks fantastic and it's pretty satisfying to pull of the noble summons into aether bloom combo. There's a lot more nuance into getting good at adele than most classes despite her being not that difficult to start with.

You can still group in heroic, there's just no trading, among other shit like scrolling and bpots (server gives you extra final damage to compensate). Both have their ups and downs.

Everyone has fountain. Self hp sustain isn't unique to it (BM/Hayato/Kanna all have it). Damage reduction becomes less valuable for later bosses since they either do chip damage where the 6% doesn't even matter, or fuck up your run anyway if you get hit by that attack.

If anything Shade is the class that doesn't follow the rules since not only does he have access to stupidly strong on demand healing, but debuff immunity is stupidly good against some bosses. That P3 limbo grab that fucks people over? yeah for some reason that grab is considered a debuff so you can just face tank that attack without getting thrown around the arena as shade. Same for white/black curse in black mage, strings in vhilla etc.

Fountain is irrelevant and situational. Rens self sustain is better than every other class with it. Damage reduction is still great on later bosses to survive chip damage. Not being top DPM doesn't mean anything since its the fastest boss clearer currently. It'll be even more broken during the ring change. The only class more OP right now is the remastered Hayato.

I've been playing reboot since 2019 and it's been almost 7 years now. I'm still struggling to get much progress on pitched items ( one last bh in storage, cfe is 18, dreamy just hit 21 after 5 years of no drops/booms ), and as one of the earlier grandis boss clearers I have managed to get all my eternals to 22 after 38 booms. Meanwhile I know people who've been playing like half the time, are at 10 set with 22+ stars, and have multiple 23/24s on their eternals while being late to a lot of the grandis bosses.

I think the thing that made me really depressed was when my friend- who has played for around 2 years at the time- hit a 23 slime ring prior to the 30 star sf change in like 20 spares, while I never hit mine after 90 booms. In the end, I settled for 24 post change after booming 12 more thereafter but it still haunts me knowing that I probably won't be seeing that 1 additional star anywhere in the near future.

The crazy part is that there are people who've been playing since reboot was first released and are still struggling to get past 7 set pitched.

It really is just RNG at the end of the day.

It's cause the game is balanced around kms where you can buy your gear and the retarded 'go west' devs don't do jack shit to help except maybe throw some scraps in the form of pities which take several months for just 1 fucking piece. Conceptually, reboot is just Solo Self Found, and so long as trade limitations between different players are maintained, I don't see any issues loosening restrictions on item movement within an account.

You only need one vac pet for either reg or reboot, and the sad part is that it's generally a required purchase unless you hate yourself while grinding. Luckily, our lord and savior Lil Snow only costs 70b, which isn't too bad if you've already used the challenger world jump start to reach hseren funding and acquire most of your drop gear.

On the topic of strong classes, any suggestions for CW3? Newer player and hoping to turn my CW3 char into a new main. Instinctively, bucc is a high contender since that was my main back in the olden days but I know it changed a lot. It looks fun now though with high mobility and one of my favorite effects - aura damage. I just know it's been strong lately and worried about any incoming nerfs. I like a lot of mages too so I was considering remaking one of them (IL, Sia or Lynn). Generally I favor more interesting mechanics than simplicity like Sia's constellation but kind of hate that in 5th job you just pop a cd and single cast most of them.
I guess the better question, can we expect based I n KMS data which classes are strong in CW3? That would probably help me decide since I ultimately dont have a lot of time nor hands so getting carryd by my class is unfortunately something I rely on.

to get challenger in cw3 requires killing the new season boss kai, normal mode and hard mode, normal mode being about hvhilla tier and hard mode being about hseren tier. kai drops frags, meso, chance of pitched and hard has 2 kalos eternal pieces and a chance to drop a limbo eternal box/kalos box
kai being giga important to cw3 means the class tier list is based on who is good against kai
so who is good against kai?, well burst classes are the pick this go around
kai is a 20 minute boss fight and his unique mechanic when you pass his tests your 2min cooldowns are reset giving you the amount of bursts you would normally have in a 30min fight but nowhere near the dpm time you would have
this is what heavily favors burst in kai
so hayato and kanna are the easy picks as they are mostly burst
I personally am doing lynn for cw3 as I want a high level kitted out in eternals lynn

Heroic CW was so packed theres no burning anywhere for daily gamers or f2p grinders that you basically need mvp red/black to not fall behind.

Yeah I was and it was a whalefest. The chat was filled with rolling pssbs nonstop for a week straight. 60 channels with no burning on any of them because people who bought the battle pass on day 1 before reset got enough vouchers and mag pots to skip 250-260 and start doing grandis mp/hm/high burning maps in burnium. This put people near 265 and they had to get some chest drops to hit 265. By end of week 1 everyone was 270 from the sauna tickets/vouchers in battle pass and high burning maps in Arcus. Anyone who wasn't MVP Red/Black was just hitting 260 as daily gamers or 265 as f2p grinders. By end of week 2 there was lvl 275 whales with plat medal because they got 20% fd from levels to clear ctene bosses.
A lot of little different things from being a paid player add up and pretty much push them beyond what any non payer can achieve.

highkey the only time burning was notably bad was cernium but just getting into arcus kinda fast the distribution immediately cleared up and that held into the rest of the maps after that.

The differences start compounding and you're suddenly not a week behind but two by week 3, by week 4 whales were 280 and there was no burning in odium or shangrila so that puts everyone a month behind them and the gap kept growing until 285 when whales had enough and by then no one f2p was around.
