He's still waiting to be crowned Archduke, and Ravengard is still with him. I just finished a different game.It's a game arguably worse than BG3 in almost every way but its ending made me feel way more emotions than BG'3s did. In fact, even now my chest is slightly heavy from what I witnessed of my characters before the credits rolled. So why? Was my BG3 playthrough just too happy? BG3 is the best AA/AAA RPG ever made in terms of reactivity. There are more reactive RPGs, but they're completely text based with no VA or cutscene work. BG3 is also arguably the best voice acted RPG ever, on that subject.Downstream from those two, BG3's companions are probably the best ever written, on the strength of how they're performed and how massive their character development is due to reactivity and sheer number of lines of dialogue. However that's only looking at BG3 as a single title, Mass Effect or Dragon Age probably has the best characters since they've got several games to develop and write the characters in.BG3's story is above average at best.
