I'm confused when was it ever the case in FGs that my opponent has to play in a way that I find enjoyable or only use characters that I don't find "annoying" to fight? If that's how you think, fighting games really aren't for you. You should look for another genre of game. And honestly, no Modern char is really more annoying than their classic counter parts outside of potentially Honda & Lilly, and even then it's probably a wash on both accounts. I don't think a single shoto is more "irritating" to deal with on Modern than on Classic unless you're an idiot type of player who literally does nothing but drive rush in all day.This is why I feel like people who say Modern is more annoying to fight are just low rank players/bad players who depend on overwhelming low rank/low mr opponents with advancing special/drive rush/jump reaction checks to win and don't ever bother mixing it up because I struggle to see how, for example, one can find fighting Modern Akuma more "annoying" than Classic Akuma.
