Even a breakable board will have some amount of interruptions which you will naturally go minus to force out. Because of Maxx C you go even more minus while playing into it, which means if you can't force lethal through the board+handtraps they draw you are now facing a 10+ card hand.
You can't just "do a nib line" into an existing board that's interrupting you, nib lines are almost always less efficient which is why you can only really do them going 1st.

Maxx C is annoying is most cases when your opponent plays Nibiru, which is mid in this meta (DT, RT, Luna, VSK9, Sky Striker, etc...), you just go for the OTK or scoop because no matter how many cards you made him draw every modern decks has an ok+ recursion. Droll, Ash and Nib are much worse as the go second player. If you're on board breakers you have no way to stop hand or GY interaction, so Ash on you critical starter is devastating. Tenpai is emblematic of this, if they don't hard draw Chundra and you Ash Kaimen they lose on the spot, even if they destroy your board.
Roach going first is just a way to draw into Nib + Ash + Droll if they don't have it. Says a lot that Synchron is fine letting you roach because they can deck you out or put up a 10+ negate board but they fold under Droll hard.

whenever i see someone complain about a card the first question i think of is "what do you play"
because the more decks you play the more you realize that the 2 truly unfair cards for 90% are shifter and maxx c (and maybe droll)
the rest are at least manageable if you play a recent deck.

It's not "fun" when the player going 1st finishes doing a combo engine A or gets handtrapped and immediately goes into the full combo for engine B and C. This doesn't apply to a pet deck either, because pet decks are often times bad specifically because they can't do these bridges/shake of interaction. It just makes the best decks better.

The deck is barely holding on to relevance as is, it's too fair on its own and will naturally get rotated out by powercreep. Despite no hits in the OCG it's fallen off almost fully and in the TCG is like the 5th best deck.

Kewl Tune is a bit of a rarity for decks from the past year, in that it's heavily xenophobic and locks you into only summoning tuners if you do pretty much anything. Their gimmick is making synchros using just tuners and that they can use material from hand. When they get used as material they do something as a bonus(pop a card, bounce a card, look at hand, random ED rip,look at top 2 cards of the opponent's deck and banish 1).
They also have a way to synchro on turn 0 and benefit from a new synchro-exclusive handtrap called Fidraulis Harmonia. The deck was lackluster on release but after the other decks got hit in the OCG and Kewl Tune Rotary+Fidraulis released, it's the best deck. How good it will be in MD depends entirely on if they get this support early.

I don't think I have ever felt this weak while playing any other deck beside Sky Striker. A single monster on the field with 2000 is a problem for the deck. It's so terrible to play. Everything about it is just gambling.
