It can one shot chargers up the ass too since it hits multiple hit boxes. Pairs nicely with the hotdog. I typically use halt, ultimatum, gas/thermite/dynamite, speargun, hotdog, gas mines, and the last slot for whatever you feel like for instance rail strike if roaches are about or 120 for lazy medium nest deleting.

If you're using the speargun to kill heavy units you're using it incorrectly. It is a utility weapon that CCs the shit out of enemies, clears chaff with the gas clouds, confuses and staggers heavy units so they don't overrun your team, and can blow up lots of bug holes as a bonus.
