I recently finished Summer's Heartbeat. Compared to Storytaco's earlier games I really enjoyed chapter 1-4 and thought they were great (Roring best girl), but then chapter 5 and the endings felt so rushed. The endings, both good and bad, were super short. It felt like a massive quality letdown compared to their earlier games.Usually I enjoy Storytaco's games but Summer's Heartbeat ended up as a disappointment.

They either needed to shrink the cast down to 4 so each girl could get more time, or they have to stop forcing all these games to be 6 chapters long. It's unfortunate though because like you I was really enjoying it at the start.
>>562760672It is my favorite game by Storytaco. The cast is small and introduced quickly, so the rest of the game is spent building up your relationships with the girls at a more natural rate. Aside from Ji-woo who is your childhood friend none of the girls instantly fall for you like I feel happens in a lot of these games. It also has a lot of silly bad endings for you to unlock along the way, so when I was replaying chapters to 100% them it felt like there was something fun to look forward to. Other games I've played have had minimal endings before the final chapters, so replays felt more tedious. DFMB had a few bad ends per chapter, and some of them are really amusing. If you've already bought it I'd suggest at least powering through 1 playthrough to see if you come around on the cast.

It would give more time to spend with the characters while also giving chapter 5 more time to breath rather than trying to force so much into chapter 5.But the endings are inexcusable. Their earlier games have as many characters or even more and still manage to give each character proper endings compared to the 5 second endings in Summer's Heartbeat.>>562760672I found that it had a rough start, but then it becomes really good. The first one I played was Five Hearts Under One Roof just this past December during the steam sale. I had actually bought Love Is All Around on Switch months before, but didn't actually play it until after Five Hearts.
