The Golden Courtyard event before the Vampire Survivors rehashed EE yet again and ironically, it just shows Mei to be useless because it managed to do it wholesale without Mei being relevant. It shits on Mei by depicting an alternative version without her that's no different. It cements her as pointless in the original.

The rest of the FCs appear, but they basically only serve as cheerleaders while Ely solos the HoC, which was kind of a letdown. Also like the other guy said Mei doesn't have any presence either, I guess they really wanted Ely to blow up the simulation, but it would've been really easy to just write it so that Mei gets kicked out since she's an outsider, or make some other excuse to keep her alive.My annoyances with it also broadly apply to ER/EE as well funnily enough
