Every fucking Abydos character could have easily had a character arc here if this story had an editor that told the writer to eliminate certain plot points since they don't serve the core theme. Suou being a dark reflection of Nonomi could have probably worked, someone serving Nephyrs family, showing how Nonomi could have turned outOne of the greatest failures is the writer wanting Suou to be Revolver Ocelot, but entirely misunderstanding how to do it. You should have had a scene at the end showing how secretly they were on yet another different side all along, but instead it turns out they never had a plan or goal to begin with, it was all nonsense. "I want to fight hoshino, also i'm maybe being brainwashed" its nonsense.
