For me it's Overdose, Medigun, and Amputator. I stay alive longer and provide more consistent ubers for my team. The crossbow leaves an opening for spies and other ambushes because in order to use the crossbow you need to focus your vision in a specific direction - tunnel vision - for a moment to line up and aim the shot - that's 1 - 3 seconds of you being distracted instead of watching your back - plus without it you are always focused on building uber the reliable way by positioning yourself near your teammates instead of positioning yourself around crossbow opportunities. The Overdose also makes surfing damage for effective, and it let's you out run pyros. The Amputator compliments the Overdose by capitalizing on your ability to run away and evade damage by upping your health regen. The standard medigun lets you preserve your life so that you can survive a sketchy encounter and continue building uber instead of dying as with Kritz or the other guns.Without the Ubersaw or Crossbow, you are not inclined to go for risky flashy plays that make you drop Uber more.What do medic mains think about this?

Insider here. The MVM update has been delayed because Valve has made the decision to make it into a full-fledged major update, where one of the primary goals is to overhaul the matchmaking system. The current release date is to coincide with the schedule of Half-Life 3, this year. Valve is very busy with Half-Life 3 and the Steam Machine, which is internally viewed as their flagship product. Not that the TF2 stories and comics tried to operate with logic over emotions, but it still provided a definitive direction rather than one that audiences could subconsciously digest. In TF2, the art and setting IS the story.
