Man 100%-ing SF1 reminded me of how bad that era of postgame were, from BN4 to SF1 it's just complete library then fight superboss, barely any story and other extra bosses (like Gen.Auriga, YamatoMan, PlanetMan, etc)

Could be that Sumeragi has them completely sidelined or underthumb, and the damage GV/Eden did was what allowed them to assert more independence. Could be that SY and Sumeragi are intertwined, with the SY leadership being in lockstep with Sumeragi. Could be that SY are a bunch of Copens. Who knows?
