I'm not sure why reeling the winch in as you drive works, but it does.

Any decent sailing sims?
>>562986075There's Sailwind which is in early access, I'm sure there was something else in development but I can't remember the name.
>snow resort simulatorThere's tonnes of these 'simulator' games now, lots of shopkeeping games. I'm sure most of them are shit, I haven't really played any.
>>562975187Yeah, helps a ton though. I pulled the 745c with the scout 800 out yesterday with some patience.
Asking again : Does anyone got any experience with yokes for plane sim? I'm kinda interested into buying one. I already have a high-end stick, but it feels wrong to pilot huge ass transport planes with it.
>>562990090What's next, Retail Cashier Simulator? Just get a fucking job at that point.
>>563004778Airbus A380 has a joystick so you should be fine
>>563006875>Airbus A380 has a joystick so you should be fineMan imagine piloting this giant thing with a small stick that's not even directly linked to anything. It must feel so weird.
>>563006875>Airbus A380 has a joystick so you should be fineOf course it works fine, but i'm still asking people who have experience with yokes about it. But i'm not sure many, if any anons around here ever used those.

>>563004778>but it feels wrong to pilot huge ass transport planes with it.this is your cope to spend more money on hardwaret. thousands of hours flying tubes with a twist stick
>>563011051>t. thousands of hours flying tubes with a twist stickWell some people play with an xbox controller too, once again that's not the point. But clearly nobody here uses a yoke so i'll just stop asking.
>>563004778Tbh using a yoke in flightsims is already a niche on a niche, and it kind of limits you on other aircraft. Joystick is just the better choice overall unless you are building your own pure boeing/embraer/cessna kind of cockpit. Also they tend to be more expensive due to how their feedback is built into.
>>563011725>once again that's not the point.the point is you want a yoke?
>>563012107>the point is you want a yoke?Yes. Thats why i'm asking if anyone here has experience with those.>>563012079I already have a good stick, it doesn't limit me at all. Price isn't exactly a problem either. But there's a few yokes on the market and i'm not sure where i should look. Virpil has pre-orders up for theirs, perhaps i'll just wait for that. Their stuff is always top notch.
>>563004778Only experience is with pic related, but think yokes are a gimmick unless you currently or imminently plan to pilot huge ass transport planes on a regular basis. If it's worth it to you, personally, for personal immersion, then it's worth it.
>>563012432check out Honeycomb or VirtualFly or Precision Flight Controls for quality ones.
I know Thrustmaster has a lot of haters, but I liked the TCA Boeing Yoke when I tried it, but I have no desire to get a yoke. I liked the little mini Boeing throttles as well.
>>563012545>>563015110>>563015326Thanks for your inputs, anons. I heard honeycomb was good, and its not that pricey.
>>563012545>unless you currently or imminently plan to pilot huge ass transport planes on a regular basis.so I can sit there with a Yoke on my desk, that I don't touch for seven hours?
>>563016136Like all huge ass peripherals, it benefits from more frequent use.
>>563018724>fly seven hours straight>that's not frequent use
>>563019101Seven hours is fine but seven weeks is a lot of time to leave a huge and unsightly ass peripheral strapped to your desk, especially if you have company.
>>563019101How do tubeliners anons even fly? I find the idea of setting autopilot for 4 hours really fucking boring, maybe if you do VATSIM or IVAO events could spice things up with real world weather turbulence once in a while
Update 0.33 will be released on 14/04/2026, featuring the Alkyon AB-4 supersonic bomber, the Argus class frigate, Cursor class littoral flight deck, plus many new weapon options and other content. Looking forward to joining you in the skies then!
I like that Falcon BMS has a "Bare Minimum" file for keybinds, and the list still includes a keybind for every single cockpit function, over a dozen views, a key for every individual radio command (there is radial menu), ten different ways to zoom your FOV, but leaves out really basic features like "throttle go up/down"
>>563019384>I find the idea of setting autopilot for 4 hours really fucking boringI took this screenshot in the middle of an 8 hour long virtual meeting.
>>5630224841998's flight sim bare minimum was assumed to include a joystick, with the keyboard as a glorified button box.
>>563019384I don't fly airliners but I do do 4~5 hour-ish flights in things like the Beechcraft Starship; for some reason it's satisfying to let that complete in real time even if I'm only glancing at it occasionally to make sure no annunciators have lit up.I assume a lot of people crank sim rate up to max in cruise though
Wake up.
I miss Novalogic
bump
>>563004778Yokes look nice but limit you a bit when you want to fly other things, unless you're a richfag and have both a yoke and stick.
>>5630193844 hours is fine, you can look out the window, listen to music, relax etc. How people do long haul, 8 hours+ or whatever is beyond me, maybe they just increase the sim rate.
Odds we're getting an Asian truck sim once the ETS2 map is completed?
>>563053171We're probably more likely to have South America than Asia. Being able to drive from London to Singapore would be mental though.
>>563019705Just one more week..... Good timing I was paying a lot this week. This is exactly what I need, in the late game using brawler is a struggle. Setting up fighter for multirole doesn't give me enough ordinance to overwhelm AA. And Darkreach is just boring
>Korea? NEVER EVER.>U-boat operation monsoon DLC? NEVER EVER.>Cliffs of Dover VR update?NEVER EVER
I started a Silent Hunter IV campaign in early 1942 and it made me a bit sad to see my base in the DEI get raped and gaped by the Japs. I really need to get off this fucking S-Class or I feel like this career may be a bit short.
>>563070649Uboat DLC is out next week
>>563049526>have both a yoke and stick.problem with this setup is the effort needed to swap them out depending on what you fly
Do you like the Ae 4/7?Her predecessor the Ae 3/6 (essentially the same loco, just with one powered axle less) was the swiss federal railways longest serving Locomotiverolling around from 1920 to 1994
>>563081628she cutewhat route is that?
>>563084351Next map, maybe 0.34 or 0.35
>>563084509what?
>>563084351Zürich-OltenIt's pretty goodbut it's for Train Sim Classic though
>>563085070I like TSC better anyways
>>563085070sovl
damn that route or loco isn't available on steam
>>563085463The route is on SimTrain.ch or trainsimulator.chthe loco is only on the latteri'd recommend getting the Krokodil though, there is more content and it seems better made (also the whistle won't deafen you)
There's an Mi-2 in development for MSFS, might be out this yearhttps://digitalaeronautics.com/Another dev called Axonos was/is working on one but I'm not sure what the status of that is.
>>563086505>i'd recommend getting the Krokodil thoughgotchu senpai
>>563094094It's interesting how old electric locomotives are, you'd think they'd be something introduced later, but apparently the first one was built in 1837.
>>563096721don't they predate the diesel electric type?
>>563097240Yes, first one of those was 1912 apparently.
>PMDG completes the 737NG fleet for MSFS 2024 with the 737-700Also apparently their first 737 for FS 2002/04 went into beta testing 23 years ago, which sounds absurd.
>>563094094That's not the Krokodil i'm usingThat is the austrian knockoff, i'm using the real deal>>563097373The Krokodil and Ae 4/7 are both from the 1920s and both served up until the 80s and even 90sThe Ae 4/7 almost made it to 2000

I am still in Michigan. This game is really long or i really suck at it, probably both.
>>563114770The game is really long.
>>563074981I'm probably going to wait for some of my mods to be updated but I am excited. Have they spoken about adding new surface ship types yet? My biggest gripe with the game is a lack of variety in shipping. I like uboat more than SH overall but I wish there was a bit more.
