I'm trying to play morrowind, I'm having trouble with MGE XE's distant statics, specifically those that are not "always" supposed to be there. For example, the intro boat goes away when you get out of the tutorial but it still appears if you're far away, disappears as you come near it and the reflection always stays. This seems to be only visual. How the fuck do I fix this? It's driving me mad.

This is starting to get interesting but I can't help but feel like I'm missing out on alot of stuff. That's par for the course when it comes to this vein of story though. I didn't notice the design of the staff after my first run in with Anton because of the inventory mod that hides item models but I think I made an error using it the first time. It's interesting that Anton uses mostly fire based destruction magic if you attack him, the staves don't affect him and he doesn't drop a piece of red stone when killed.I also guessed my way into the Sacred Anatomancer's chamber, killed him and burned the corpse. I did let my curiosity get the better of me and savescummed what happens when you read his entrails and I think I'm going to need another character for that path, but I don't think I can bring myself to not kill him.>>563049678I believe you have to enable the priest cure option in the MCM, but I might be getting mixed up with a different one. I had 3 different disease mods installed but removed them when early for this character I got an infection from a skeever that I think caused a strange kind of ambient noise centered on my character, kind of like a magic fizzing sound. I couldn't figure out what was causing it but when I loaded a save pre-bite it wasn't occurring. I ended up just removing all three to be safe. I never used Last Seed so I don't know if that affects the priest lines.

The mechanic really doesn't fit the game, you can't reliably escape combat when it goes sideways in most cases so it's very common to get yourself into an unwinnable situation, and being sent a mile away from the dungeon you are trying to clear because of that gets frustrating fast. And they also induce super wonky shit when you die in a story scripted dungeon, the game obviously was not made for that.I think you should try to resolve the crashing more than anything. I'm more than 100 hours into my current save and it has crashed literally one time. With all the fixes and whatnot available now the game is stable, if you are crashing a lot something is definitely wrong.

I want to use survival mode improved and I like everything about it except the penalties which make no sense to me at all. Sleep penalties only really affect magicka and literally if you use experience or anything like that, so basically you can never sleep on a warrior or mage character and without any downside. A total health penalty to cold so is so bizarre, and it prevents using that penalty in a place it makes more sense although not really. I don't understand why these survival mods feel the need to have distinct stat penalties for every need category, I don't think it's a problem for sleep deprivation and starvation to both have a health or stamina penalty.
