This is my first leagues and I don't get it. I saw these challenges do I just pick the easiest region for me to get the points? How many regions do I need to do?

One important thing about leagues is deciding on a goal, so you actually make choices that make sense for that goal.
E.g.
- Get to the final relic
- Get enough points for all of the cosmetics you want
- Get a dragon trophy (the highest rank, at some static value)
- Complete every task available
- Fuck points, I just want to do the big bonk numbers

Bad picks can absolutely fuck you over for the higher goals, but if you're new and are just casually going for a few cosmetics, you may get swept up in the hyper-sweaty optimisations for the 100% task completion crowd, and may not have as much fun as you could be. E.g. you're really not worried about getting 50m xp in every skill.

Those tasks are the ones for unlocking the demonic pacts. You end up being quite overpowered in leagues, so a lot of them aren't as hard as they seem, but even then, you may not need to unlock all 40 available to you.

Depends on your goals, but you typically pick based on what content is available. You could pick the regions based on difficulty (e.g. wilderness tends to be one of the easier ones), but you really want to pick them based on content available, both in terms of contributing to some kind of build, or simply what content you want to do. If you absolutely fucking hate TOA and have no interest in doing it, picking desert probably isn't a good idea.

It's retarded that if you want elements you either need to spec into every single fucking line or completely ignore elemental weaknesses and spam one spell got the effects.
