The dramatically increased player mobility and pace of combat put me off quite a bit. I also just didn't really like any of the tacked on systems. Monster riding, skill swapping especially, having an actual million skills active at once, qurio crafting stuff, rng talismans, etc. One of the only changes I really liked was getting an evade that lets you keep hammer charge with keeping sway. But keeping sway is a necessity for the increased pace of combat and the additional hazards, so eh. Beat the base game, beat the title update monsters, beat sunbreak's story and a couple of the TU monsters + early anomalies, then shelved it.

I wouldn't call it bad though, if I play a bad game I stop playing it, and I haven't stopped playing Wilds yet.

I miss when MH games still had to be solved, I wish NPCs didn't shout at you what to do and that Capcom had the balls to teach players through failure and patterns and not adherence to instructions.

I think his gimmick is more fun but all of them suffer from being chumps when you fight them.Scorned is much better than ruiner fight wise aand while still ugly the changes with him are more noticeable and striking.
