Can someone name one game series that is one connected and continuous story between sequels that has lasted since at least 2001 and is still going? I'm not talking about shit like Zelda or Final Fantasy or whatever where the series is very loosely connected. I mean stuff like Metal Gear Solid, which had its last mainline game in 2015. You just can't keep the story going in those types of series without it falling off. Halo's story was cooked after Halo 3, there was no where to go and the covenant and to be shoehorned back.
